We had a generally good event this year. We had a good attendance, despite the usual last-minute cancellations and no shows. Customer attendees represented JP Morgan Chase, Fiserv, Bank of America – Merrill Lynch and Western Union. This year we also tried a new format, with most of the morning being dedicated to a more in-depth SQL/MX migration workshop. The workshop was lead by Paul Denzinger, HPE Distinguished Technologist. The focus of the workshop was to give the audience a feel for what they need to concern themselves with when migrating either from Enscribe or SQL/MP to SQL/MX. The workshop also included a highlight of the differences among the three architectures and respective features and functions. The rest of the event followed the traditional vendor presentations. This year we also had TIC participate for the first time in NYTUG, presenting Future Proofing NonStop. An overview of the presentations can be seen in the agenda. We had very positive feedback on the event, especially with regard to the new format and the value of the workshop. We received very positive feedback both from customers and vendors who were in attendance. After the event, George Peterson said that he found the SQL/MX migration workshop especially valuable and has learned at least a few things he was not aware of before. George also said that making the agenda available in advance made all the difference to him. This was also evident by his participation for the first time in the few years that the new NYTUG has been in existence. The group had reconvened after the presentations in our regular Delicious Heights for some more discussions, networking and drinks. It was a good event with good interactions and reconnecting with familiar faces from the past![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row] 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail Peter Schvarcz Peter has over three decades of NonStop experience predominantly with financial institutions such as stock exchanges and other global financial institutions.
