1. Pre-conference Education Day: How to Migrate from Oracle GoldenGate to HPE Shadowbase with Ease

Abstract: This session will review HPE Shadowbase functionality and provide a technical contrast with Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) features. Additionally, we will discuss best practices for upgrading from OGG to Shadowbase software, and review example customer migrations (including customers with BASE24 Classic™ and BASE24-eps™ applications, Connex, and other unaudited home-grown applications). Since some of these migrations include upgrading the customers’ environments from a non-audited database to a TMF-audited database, we will include the powerful benefits of using TMF, plus additional options for your organization. Tips and tricks will be reviewed, along with key insights from experienced experts.
